OVERVIEW

"Angel investing" is simply providing capital to a start-up or emerging business venture, usually for a higher rate of return than traditional investments. 

If you have an interest in entrepreneurial development or are looking for investment opportunities outside of your traditional portfolio, Angels for Moore may be an opportunity for you to consider.  Angels for Moore is always looking for new members.

To become a member of the Angels for Moore network, you must meet certain requirements as outlined below.  Your membership is strictly confidential.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POTENTIAL ANGELS

To participate in these types of investments, you must be a qualified or "accredited investor", defined as having a net worth of at least $1,000,000 or having a current annual income of at least $200,000 for each of the past two (2) years and expect to have at least the same annual income in the current year.

It's important to note:

• -- Should you choose to invest in a project, the minimum investment amount is $10,000.
• -- You do not have to be a resident of Moore County to become a member of Angels for Moore.

TO BECOME AN ANGEL:

You must complete an application that certifies you meet the requirements as an accredited investor.  Once this application is completed and submitted to Angels for Moore, your name is then placed on the confidential list.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:

As a member of Angels for Moore, you will receive periodic emails containing the confidential executive summaries of entrepreneurial ventures.  All of these projects will be ventures locating in, already located in, or relocating to Moore County. 

If an executive summary sparks your interest, you can request a copy of the full business plan to review.  Then, if you need additional information or want to pursue possibly investing in the project, you can either:  1)  contact and meet with the entrepreneur directly; 2) request that Angels for Moore arrange a private meeting between you and the entrepreneur; or 3)  join other angels who have expressed an interest and meet as a group with the entrepreneur.  Angels for Moore's role is simply to serve as a facilitator in bringing you together with the entrepreneurs, and any dialogue that follows between you and an entrepreneur is up to you.

If at any time you no longer wish to receive notification about entrepreneurial investment opportunities, just let us know and we will take you off of the email distribution list.
